Pabau reviews, pricing and the aesthetics-only alternative
Pabau is a large, capable all-in-one clinic platform, and this page will not pretend otherwise. It covers charting, scheduling, stock, marketing and payments under one roof, and for bigger clinics and med spas that breadth is precisely the appeal. AesthetiClinic is a different kind of product: deliberately narrower, built for aesthetics-only clinics, doing four jobs properly at one transparent price. The right choice depends on which kind of clinic you run, and we will be plain about cases where the answer is Pabau.
Accurate as of July 2026; if Pabau changes, this page changes.
Two different bets
Pabau bets on breadth: one platform for everything a large clinic does, from stock control to marketing campaigns. The benefit is fewer tools; the cost is that a broad feature surface takes time to learn, configure and administer, and you carry the whole surface whether you use it or not.
AesthetiClinic bets on depth in four jobs: online booking under your own brand, a diary that cannot double-book, consent and medical records done to a clinical standard, and before and after photos on the patient record. No stock module, no marketing automation, no CRM campaigns. If those words made you wince, Pabau (or similar) is the better fit, and you can stop reading here with our blessing.
What the four jobs look like
- Booking. A booking page under the clinic’s own brand, with deposits paid into the clinic’s own Stripe account at 0% commission to us (Stripe’s standard card fees apply).
- Diary. Practitioner shifts and time off, with double-booking protection enforced at database level. Role-based access keeps front of house out of medical histories.
- Consent and records. Forms and medical histories e-signed on the patient’s own phone via a secure tokenised link, no app, no account. Templates are treatment-specific, editable and versioned (browse the library). Treatment records carry batch numbers and dose, with a full audit trail, structured for England’s 2026 licensing scheme and the licensing-ready records checklist.
- Photos. Before and after photos attach straight to the patient record.
Everything else is on the features page. The product was built hands-on with a working UK aesthetics clinic, which is why the four jobs are these four.

Where a row says “Not published” or “Varies”, Pabau does not publish the detail in a form we can verify, so we have left it blank rather than guess.
Pabau pricing explained
Pricing is where clinics researching Pabau usually get stuck, and it is a fair thing to want clarity on before a demo. Pabau does not publish a simple flat per-user price the way we do; it is a tiered platform quoted by configuration, so the figure you are given depends on the plan, the number of users and which add-ons you take. Rather than quote numbers we cannot confirm, the honest comparison is on the model: a configured, tiered price that reflects Pabau’s breadth, versus a single published price that reflects a narrower product.
AesthetiClinic is £25 plus VAT per practitioner per month, and that is the entire price list: the whole platform, no tiers, no feature gating, no paid add-ons, no annual lock-in, monthly rolling with a 14-day free trial and the ability to cancel any time. The arithmetic for your team size takes about ten seconds on the pricing page. A narrower product makes a single transparent price possible; a platform with Pabau’s surface area prices by configuration instead.
The same philosophy applies to leaving. One-click full export (patients, consent records with signatures, photos, notes, bookings) at any time, no exit fee. We would rather be easy to leave and hard to want to leave.
Common questions
How much does Pabau cost?
Pabau is priced by configuration rather than a single published per-user figure, so the cost depends on your plan, user count and add-ons, and is usually confirmed after a demo. Ask Pabau directly for a current quote for your team size. AesthetiClinic, by contrast, is one published price: £25 plus VAT per practitioner per month for the whole platform.
Is Pabau good for aesthetics clinics?
Pabau is a capable all-in-one used across many clinic types, and for larger clinics and med spas that need stock, marketing and CRM in one place, its breadth is a genuine strength. For an aesthetics-only clinic that wants depth in booking, consent and records without the wider suite, a narrower tool is often the closer fit. The honest test is to trial both on your own clinic.
What is the difference between Pabau and AesthetiClinic?
Pabau bets on breadth, one platform for stock, marketing, payments and charting. AesthetiClinic bets on depth in four jobs, booking, diary, consent and records, and photos, at one flat price with deposits into your own Stripe at 0% commission to us. Which suits you depends on how much of that breadth you actually use.
Stay with Pabau if
- You actually need the breadth. Stock control, marketing automation and CRM campaigns are real operational needs for larger clinics, and AesthetiClinic does not do them. Pabau does.
- You run a med spa or multi-site operation. Pabau is aimed at exactly this scale, and the administrative depth that feels heavy to a three-person clinic is the point at twenty staff.
- You have already invested in configuring it. A well-configured all-in-one that your team knows is an asset. Re-platforming to save on breadth you have already tamed rarely pays.
- You want one vendor for everything. Consolidation is a legitimate strategy, and it is the opposite of ours.
How switching works
If you are the other kind of clinic, aesthetics-only, small team, paying for breadth you do not use, the move is well-trodden. We import your patients, rebuild your consent forms as versioned templates, set up practitioners, shifts and your branded booking page, and run in parallel until you cut over. The full process is on the switching page. If you are surveying the whole market, our comparisons with Aesthetic Nurse Software, Faces and Aesthetidocs cover the aesthetics-specific options, and the best aesthetic clinic software guide lays them all out side by side.
