Glowday reviews and pricing: the directory model, and the alternative

Glowday is a UK aesthetics platform with two sides: a consumer-facing directory where patients search for practitioners, and a set of booking and record tools for the practitioners listed on it. It is British, it is aesthetics-native, and the directory is a real acquisition channel for practitioners still building a patient base. This page explains how that model works and where a your-own-brand clinic platform is the better fit instead.

Accurate as of July 2026; if Glowday changes, this page changes.

What Glowday is

Glowday’s consumer side is a directory: patients browse practitioners, read about treatments, and book through Glowday. For a practitioner who is still filling a diary, appearing in a trusted consumer directory can bring genuine new enquiries, and that is the main reason to be there. The practitioner side then layers booking and records on top.

The trade-off is the same one every directory carries. Your presence is a profile within Glowday’s brand and alongside other practitioners, and the discovery journey belongs to the platform. That is a fair exchange when you want the platform to find you patients. It reads differently once your diary runs mostly on your own returning patients, where paying toward a shared directory earns you less.

Glowday pricing, in plain terms

Glowday’s practitioner offer combines a directory listing with booking and record tools. Rather than quote a figure we cannot confirm, the honest comparison is on the model: a directory-plus-tools subscription where part of what you pay is toward consumer discovery, versus a flat clinic subscription where you pay only for the software and own the discovery yourself.

AesthetiClinic is £25 plus VAT per practitioner per month for the whole platform, monthly rolling, with a 14-day free trial. Deposits run through your own Stripe account and we take 0% commission, so the only additional charges are Stripe’s standard card fees. There is no directory in the middle: your booking page is your own. The full detail is on the pricing page.

Your brand versus a directory

The distinction is the same one worth weighing against any marketplace or directory. Glowday’s strength is consumer discovery: it can put you in front of patients actively searching. Its cost is that the relationship is mediated by the directory, and your brand shares the stage.

AesthetiClinic gives you a booking page under your own clinic’s brand, on your own domain, with patients booking and paying you directly. It does not send you new patients the way a directory can, and we will say so plainly: if consumer discovery is your main need right now, a directory earns its place. If you already have the patients and want depth in booking, consent and records under your own name, that is what we are built for.

Where a row says “Varies” or asks you to verify, Glowday does not publish the detail in a form we can quote with confidence, so we have flagged it rather than guess.

Stay with Glowday if

  • You need the directory to find you patients. If consumer discovery is a live need and Glowday’s directory brings you enquiries, that channel is worth paying for.
  • You are building a patient base. Early on, being listed where patients search can matter more than owning every part of the booking journey.
  • You value the aesthetics-native, UK focus. Glowday is built for this industry and this market, and that focus is genuine.

Common questions

Is Glowday a directory or clinic software?

Both. Glowday runs a consumer directory where patients find practitioners, and it provides booking and record tools to the practitioners listed on it. The directory is its distinctive feature and its main draw for practitioners who want consumer discovery.

What does AesthetiClinic do that a directory does not?

AesthetiClinic gives you a booking page under your own brand rather than a profile in a shared directory, deposits into your own Stripe account, and clinical records structured for England’s 2026 licensing scheme. It will not bring you new patients the way a directory can, so the choice comes down to whether you need discovery or ownership right now.

How much is AesthetiClinic compared with Glowday?

AesthetiClinic is £25 plus VAT per practitioner per month for the whole platform, with no commission to us. We cannot confirm Glowday’s current practitioner pricing here, so check it directly; the difference is that with AesthetiClinic none of what you pay goes toward a shared directory.

How switching works

Moving from Glowday to your own clinic platform follows the same path as any migration. We import your patients, rebuild your consent forms as versioned templates, set up practitioners, shifts and your branded booking page, then run in parallel until you cut over. The full process is on the switching page, and the 14-day free trial lets you test the export first. If discovery is what you are really buying from a directory, the JCCP register is another visibility route worth understanding before you decide. If you are weighing the wider market, see our comparisons with Pabau, Fresha and Zenoti, or the best aesthetic clinic software guide.
