Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medication which temporarily relaxes muscles responsible for the formation of lines and wrinkles in the skin above the muscles, when we move our face. Duration of botulinum treatment depends on independent patient factors, dosage, areas treated, etc, but generally patients note improvement for 3-5+ months. Factors such as smoking, stress, exercise, sun exposure, sunbed use, lack of skincare, metabolism etc can reduce the duration of effect. The effect is cumulative with patients eventually finding they can space their treatments out less frequently more after consistent treatment. A full consultation will be carried out at clinic at every appointment. We only use the safe, effective FDA-approved brands: Relfydess, Botox, Azzalure or Bocouture.
